About Xishuangbanna Rainforest

The largest tropical rainforest in China, hugging the border with Myanmar and Laos. Over 5,000 plant species grow in its valleys and limestone hills. Around 300 wild Asian elephants survive in the reserves. Rubber plantations have replaced large areas of forest. The Dai people have protected sacred groves for centuries, and a canopy walkway draws visitors.
