A glacier-carved valley on the Olympic Peninsula receiving up to 4,200 mm of rain per year. Bigleaf maples wear cloaks of club moss and Sitka spruce reach 90 m. The Hall of Mosses trail passes through a green cathedral of draped limbs. Herds of Roosevelt elk graze the river bars. One of the finest examples of temperate rainforest in North America.
