About Harenna Forest
A cloud forest on the southern slopes of the Bale Mountains. Wild Coffea arabica grows naturally under the canopy, part of the genetic heartland of coffee. The endangered mountain nyala browses the glades, and beekeepers harvest honey from hollow trees. Mist feeds hanging lichens and tree ferns. Lions still roam here, a rarity in Ethiopia today.
