Lamington National Park Rainforest
About Lamington National Park Rainforest
Ancient subtropical rainforest astride the Queensland and New South Wales border, part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area. Antarctic beech trees cling to misty ridges above 1,000 m. Over 160 bird species include the Alberts lyrebird and the colorful regent bowerbird. Hundreds of waterfalls drop through green gorges, and treetop walkways let visitors enter the canopy.
