About Great Smoky Mountains Forest
The forest of the most visited national park in the USA, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over 130 tree species, more than in all of northern Europe, plus some 1,500 black bears and 30 salamander species. The famous smoke is natural fog exhaled by the vegetation. Each June, thousands of fireflies flash in unison in a famous synchronized display.
